What does Sorriso bring to your event?

We bring our wood-fired pizza oven to cook our pies directly to your venue. Sorriso is not a food truck, but rather a mobile, wood-fired pizza oven (it is quite literally a pizza oven on wheels). The oven gets towed to your event, using a pick-up truck, where we unhitch the oven and set up a pizza kitchen outside. Included in our set-up is super quiet generator for electricity, refrigeration and a four compartment sink with running hot and cold water.

What are the venue requirements for pizza catering?

The oven is maneuvered by a tow vehicle and one of our highly skilled, trailer-backer-uppers. So, wherever you would like us to put the oven must be accessible by vehicle, and have a flat, dry area that's at least 15 foot long, and 10 foot wide. We'll also need another 14 foot x 14 foot space in front of the oven, for our pop-up kitchen.

How far do you travel?

We generally travel about 40 miles from Staten Island, New York. Is your event a little bit, or a lot a bit further? Let's talk!

How early do I need to book my date?

The earlier, the better! We book on a first-come, first-served basis.

What if it rains? If it's chilly or too hot?

We can make pizza in light rain because our pizza prep table is covered with a 10x10 canopy. We can bare the heat and cold.

Okay! I want to reserve my date!

All we require is a 50% deposit and a signed contract. We accept payment via credit card, debit card, Zelle, or check.

So what to expect...

We arrive about a few hours before the start of an event to warm up the oven. Once it is warmed up, the oven temperature is about 900 degrees and the pizzas cook in approximately 90 seconds. We hand stretch and top all of our pizzas on site and cook them in our authentic wood fired brick oven. We would love to bring our pizza and friendship to your next special affair!
